All About Patch 2: Mechanics and New Moves
Bandai Namco has unveiled the comprehensive patch notes for TEKKEN 8's Season 2 update. Key changes include enhanced Heat System strategies, refined offensive and defensive balance within Heat, boosted defensive mechanics, and adjusted throw mechanics. The notes also provide developer insights into these system modifications. Anna Williams joins early access on March 31st, 2025, with general availability on April 3rd. SEASON 2 — NEW GAMEPLAY DETAILS:
- Neutral High Power Crush Heat Engagers will have their heat engaging ability removed.
- All Throws, if escaped, now inflict minimal chip damage (5 chip damage).
- Combo Damage, Counter, and Punish markers will now appear on the display, clearly indicating successful combos, counter-hits, or punish scenarios. This feature can be toggled ON or OFF in the settings.
- Ki Charge no longer triggers a counter-hit on the first strike. Instead of counter-hit, the initial hit will receive a 1.5 damage multiplier.
- Characters will realign when slightly off-axis after a launch to ensure more consistent combo execution.
PRACTICE MODE:
- Introduction of a new "real" Infinite Training Stage.
- Enhanced Practice Mode options with additional settings and shortcuts for a more streamlined training experience.
TWT RULESET CHANGES:
- Top 8 matches will be First to three (FT3).
- Coaching will be the organizer's choice to prohibit it or not.
