This customization recreates Paul Phoenix's classic Player 1 red karate gi from TEKKEN 5, which also returns in TEKKEN 6, TEKKEN TAG TOURNAMENT 2, and TEKKEN 7. The outfit features a sleeveless, worn red karate gi with rough, frayed edges, matching red pants, a black belt, black fighting gloves with yellow wrist details, and black open-toed martial arts footwear. A yellow symbol appears on the chest, while Paul retains his signature tall blond flat-top hairstyle and facial hair.

Although Paul wore a red karate gi in earlier games, the TEKKEN 5 design has a more detailed and weathered appearance than his TEKKEN 1, TEKKEN 2, and TEKKEN 3 outfits. The gi has a different cut, more noticeable fraying around the shoulders and pant legs, updated belt details, and yellow accents on the gloves. The TEKKEN 8 recreation follows this design with matching red clothing, a black belt, yellow wrist accents, and open-toed footwear. The main differences are the additional gray forearm wraps and the slightly different fabric and footwear details.

The outfit was recreated entirely using TEKKEN 8's standard in-game customization options, without using mods, Tekken Coins, Tekken Shop items, or items unlocked through online matches or the Tekken Fight Lounge.
